DAY 1:
Well the day started as all other days...
Lazy... Our train was to depart at 7.40 am from Hazrat Nizammudin Station, We
planned the night before to get up at 5 am but woke up at 6, Mohit planned to
wake up at 6 am and got up at 6.30 am. Shiv was the only one who promised to
get up at 5 am but got up earlier than both of us at 5.30 am. Well finally when
all three of us were awake, a big question loomed on our heads, Will we make it
to the station on time?
As Shiv was the first one to get fully ready, I sent him to find an
auto while I bring down the bags from his apartment on the 2nd
floor. Well you can say luck was a bit on our side and he got it outside his
colony gate. We loaded up the stuff and the auto driver, man on a mission to
get us on time, drove the machine quite well. We had started from Shiv’s place
at 7.10 am and reached the station at 7.35 am. Three of us just rushed like
maniacs on the loose to catch the train. And fate was also playing tricks on
us. Our bogey was the send last one. We just boarded the train seconds before
departure.

Our companions on the train were a middle aged uncle and an untie
with her two sons. We had thought of doing some photography from the train but
did not do fully till 6 pm when we reached Nagra Junction. Before that all
three of us were just lazing around in the train as well. First Mohit and Shiv
went to sleep and after lunch I went to sleep. At around 6.45 pm we reach a
station which filled us with excitement which we thought had died.

The station
that we reached was Ratlam. All the memories of the hit film Jab We Met came
rushing into our memories. We got some nice shots from the train.

Our train finally entered Gujrat at 8.30 pm and the first station to
come was Dahod. A station before Baroda was Godhara which came at 10 pm. Me and
Shiv got down to find something to eat but returned empty handed as all shops
were closed. Godhara got infamous for its Godhara Kaand and another one
happened with Shiv that night. Arnav and Mohit burst into laughter
as Shiv stood shocked as to what happened to him.
Finally the train arrived at Vadodara station at 11 pm. We took an
auto for central reserve colony where our guest house was booked. The keeper of
the guest house had already called during our journey and I had told him to
make our dinner, so upon our arrival the dinner was ready. We ate and went to
sleep awaiting the excitement which was in stored for us from the next day.
